iPhone 5s and 5c

Thoughts?
Do you think you'll buy one of them? Or replace your current phone with one?

Then only semi substantial feature of the iPhone5s is that it has the fingerprint scanner and a faster processor. The iPhone5c is a joke! It only comes in 6 colors.... and it's SOOO cheap! I feel like they didn't even try that much to make it something amazing. It's probably worse than most phones on the market now. Apple thought that giving the iPhone5c more colors would create more sales... they just killed their sales. Even their stocks are dying. I'd much rather have a 2011 phone with a great camera and something i know i can rely on than have a $200 dollar phone with almost no upgrades, or a $100 phone that sucks.

@Forum6: Well I was replying to the guy who doesn't like big phones. You're taking this out of context lol
@DrPebble I wasn't talking about the s3 in particular, but yeah I do have a pretty small head :c

I'd go with the 5C. All I use my phone for is facetime and web browsing, which I can do just fine on a 5C. It's just not worth it for me to pay double the price for features I don't even really use.
Right, I bet all of you iFans will be praising Apple for "amazing design and innovation" right when iPhone6 comes out with a 5 inch screen. You may have been right if I didn't buy another iPhone 4S after the S3 fiasco, instead of upgrading to a 5. Don't confuse me with a "iFan", my last 6-7 phones included Samsung, LG, Nokia and iPhone.

iPhone 5C is pretty bad.

iPhone 5S is okay, nothing revolutionary but a solid phone all in all.
I purchased a S3 after my iPhone 4S, sold it within a few weeks, to me it was just not practical or comfortable as a phone whatsoever. While out in bars I was too afraid to have it bumped out of my hand because I could never get a comfortable grip on it. If I wanted to see things more clearly I would use my iPad, for everything else a 3.5 inch screen works a treat.
I agree with you.
I've tried out my mum's S4 a few times and I absolutely hate it. Both the size and operating system of the Android phones are completely horrible in my opinion.
I find Android so boring and ugly, this is why the 5c is looking pretty good as an upgrade to my 4s.

@Satellite: I actually used a Note 2 for a bit once. The big screen is great, just not for phones in my opinion. If I really wanted a portable browser and wanted to carry around a large device, I might as well just use a tablet. For quick browsing, I think the iPhone screen is fine. The majority of sites I use have mobile versions or apps (which us iDiots have quite a bit of access to, btw LOL) and I don't have much of a problem with it. I can definitely see how it can be a hassle sometimes, though. But I guess in my personal case, less screen > large phone

I doubt you've even used bigger screened phones. What do you mean can be used confortably? Well, I guess that's your opinion but personally, I find a smartphone with a small screen stupid. These are not phones anymore, they're pocket computers. If I'm browsing a site on my phone I don't want to use a microscope or zoom like crazy to see one word on that page. I also don't want to constantly missclick with my thumb because of a small screen.

I have no problems using Note 2, even with just one hand, it fits in my pocket and it has a huge 5,5 display. 5,5 might not be for everyone but I don't get what problems there would be with 4,5-5 inch display.
The iPhone 5c is probably made for those dumdums who drop their phones in toilets

I won't be getting either one, planning to switch to an android device once my contract expires and calls for a new phone.

Suddenly, PLASTIC (that iDiots used to hate so much) becomes the most innovative thing ever and colored phones become an invention no one has ever made before Apple. The most innovative and godlike phone: iPhone5S, now also with an NSA-approved fingerprint scan. Suddenly 5S somehow makes iPhone5 way worse, so iDiots must run to the nearest store the first day to get their share of the drug.
@dimo Have you SEEN other phones nowadays? Galaxy phones are as big as my head lol. Apple kept the width the same so it could still be used comfortably, which is a better approach IMO
@Forum6: That doesn't change the fact that they have designed really large phones compared to iphones. The fact that they had to make a mini version in addition to the standard version speaks for itself, doesn't it?

@domi: I prefer iPhone sizes too. I have no problem using the 5, however. I'm happy as long as they keep the width relatively the same. I guess making multiple sizes like Samsung is a way to go, too. That is, if they plan to make the screen significantly bigger in the future. but MEH I'm good with my current iPhone

i won't be getting one because

In my opinion the 4/4S is the perfect size for a phone, and the best compromise between features and bulk.

I personally buy phones that are easy to use and look/feel nice. Apple does all of this for me, I'm considering upgrading my 4s for one of these.
The only Android that I've seen that looks nice is the HTC one and this is pretty expensive as well.

the price is too damn high
although the white iphone 5C looks nice imo

I actually prefer aesthetics of the 5C over the traditional iphone.
iphone 5C still retained the steel frame.

I was really wanted the 5C to be the same size as the 4/4S. Why is it that all of a sudden people are ok with using briefcases as phones?

iphone 5c = same as iphone 5, but made with plastic (=feels cheaper)
iphone 5s = same as iphone 5c except that it uses a faster processor and have a gimicky fingerprint sensor for twice the price of 5c
(edit: twice the price when you buy using the 2year plan. in the long run, or if you buy with no plan, 5c is only slightly cheaper than 5s)

If you want to downgrade from the current latest technology then get yourself an iphone.
If you want to keep up with the latest technology go for something else other than an iphone.
Anyone in their right mind would already know apple are way behind their competitors.
Ha~ iphone5C~ more like iphone5Crap </3

I don't have a problem with the iPhone5S, but I have a huge problem with the iPhone5C. The 5C defeats the whole purpose of the iPhone, which is supposed to be a premium device.

[*]It's made out of plastic.
[*]It's made out of plastic, yet the back isn't even removable.
[*]The case that Apple ships the C with is beyond ugly.
[*]Make a huge deal about FaceTime, yet the front-facing camera is awful and is worse than the iPhone5's.
[*]Last year's specs on this year's phones
[*]The same specs as the iPhone5, actually
[*]Still no NFC
[*]Costs $550 for the abysmally low 16GB model, $650 for the 32GB model
[*]Still a 4 inch, 640p display
[*]The C in iPhone5C is supposed to mean colorful (I thought it was supposed to mean cheap, except it's not), yet you can only choose between 6 colors, while the Moto X gives you a huge array of colors to choose from.
[*]It's seriously THICKER and HEAVIER than the aluminum-based iPhone5 and 5S (3.95oz/.35in versus 4.65oz/.35in).

I have so many bad things to say about the iPhone5C; if I had to choose, I would much rather spend the extra $100 for the iPhone5S. "The 5C will make Apple products more affordable" my ass.
