Sleep Paralysis
Anyone ever have this? It's when your mind is awake but your body isn't and you can't move anything and can only look around and you'll probably see some scary stuff. It happened to me twice and both happened this year. I saw some shadow thing sitting at the edge of my bed and the other time it was on me.

Dam, hope i never experience it again
I had it once last year and there was a shadow then after that deep breaths on my neck .
Had it twice. The first time I didn't know what was going on. I read up on it and exactly 1 year later it happened again. I remember it clear as day.
I was sleeping on my back (apparently the position most prone to sleep paralysis), I was staring at the wall and the only thing I could move were my eyes. The wall started to become like an illusion and was becoming more disorientated so I moved my eyes towards the TV which was on (I never sleep with the TV on, it wasn't actually on in real life) and then the TV show became more disorientated until it was just static, and then I focused my eyes on the doorway where these demonic things just started walking in and laying around as if I wasn't even there and then some guy who I remember looked like this walking in while walking several cats on leashes. Wtf. I tried to scream and stuff but I couldn't and just fell back asleep and woke up to what I think was a few minutes later. Safe to say, I didn't go back to sleep that night.
TRUE STORY
I thought this was about pokemon.
I get sleep paralysis often. Usually if I put a lot of strain on my body or if I sleep after 5am. The most frightening experience I had was when I woke up in the middle of the night, and I felt like I could hardly breathe. As if something was sitting on my chest. I heard a very loud mischievous giggle. I opened my eyes and looked up and saw a gremlin-looking creature peering down at me. I immediately shut my eyes and tried with all my might to roll over onto my stomach. Cleared my mind on what I just saw and went back to sleep. After that experience, I ended up sleeping on my arm chair for a week (Strange thing, I don't get paralysis when sleeping on my arm chair). Some people say to prevent sleep paralysis, you shouldn't sleep on your back. But I've had it while lying on my side, on my stomach, lying in fetal position even sleeping sitting up.
On the bright side, if you're skilled enough, you can turn sleep paralysis into a Lucid dream.
Most lucid dreamers love to be in sleep paralysis.
You see stuff, but more commonly, you hear howling and screams in your head.
Happend to me like 4 times in 16 years.
I also sleep walk and attack my brother sometimes.
Oh my god make it stop.
I have it probably 1~5 times a month. I hate it. T-T
Once, but I just went back to sleep.
I've experienced it 3 times, two of the times nothing really interesting happened I just couldn't move my body, it was quite a curious experience. The last time I experienced it was terrifying though, I didn't see any demons or anything but I had this feeling of extreme paranoia and terror. It was horrible.
to me y'all sounds like you been doing some dope shyet.
Medically speaking I'm pretty sure that's very unhealthy and dangerous. Doctor told me that means there isn't enough blood circulating because maybe you slept on the wrong side of the bed. Then your body moves in your sleep in most cases flat on your back and wake up. You feel paralyzed and can't move but you can see. You can scream and hear your voice but your not actually making a sound. This is probably where the devil stories came around cause its creepy as f
I was told it can be fatal O_O
Also that stretching your big toe up helps you to be released.
I think I had it before, but it was a while back.
i had sleep paralysis once
it surprises me that some people actually want to have it
it's cause you ARE paralyzed when you sleep
Not exactly... but I was in some sort of half-asleep state where I could hear everything happening around me in real life yet seeing a dream...
Happened earlier this year, saw something in my hallway. I read up on it before though, so I guess it was less scary but nonetheless still made me panic for a bit.
Would be messed up if there was a huge, real spider crawling down from the ceiling.
Anyway, I get sleep paralysis every so often, and the last time was when I was sleeping in school.
lol wtf if the teacher caught you she'd be like wtf is wrong with you.
One of my friends had sleep paralysis once. She told me the story and it sounds absolutely terrifying.
Nothanks.
Depending on what level of sleep you "awake" in it's common to see dream-like hallucinations. Usually of the terrifying, mentally scarring nature.
It's happened to me a lot, but I never saw anything. When it happens, I'm able to get up and move my body if I try hard enough.
I read online that you start seeing stuff only when you freak out.
narcolepsy. done
according to religious superstitions, its the devil that sits on your stomach, preventing you from moving lololololol.
accept jesus as your lord and savior now.
Yes, and it is very scary. o.o
Must be juno girl.....mhm you're pretty much screwed
I had it happen to me once. It was this year, too. I woke up and opened my eyes and looked over but could only see my arm, but I felt like if I turned my head fully I would've seen something scary cause I felt like I was being watched. Fearful to try to turn my head, I just closed my eyes and went back to sleep.
I swear, if I didn't sleep on my stomach, I think I would've flipped my bricks.
All the time
