General

Pre potential the strongest of the strongest would possess a range close to or slightly above 10k between level 190-200. A couple of the strongest heros in GMS actually managed to reach 12k clean range shortly before potential came out. That was the best of the best though, for everyone else a 5-6k range was good and 8k was pushing godly.

i remeber having 3k range on my lvl 120 nightwalker and i was happy with it

I remember when dexless sins were the thing, and I seen someone with crystal illbis hitting 2.5-3.5k with lucky7 2x on rombots, that was amazing.
I onyl hit 1.5-2k at lvl 50 with a nw

@Newbane: It didn't, I have screenshots on my old photobucket account but I can't remember the password, self buffed was 10.9k and with apple it was 13.9k.

I remember scrolling a Black Mamba with 10%'s with the 20% enhance and got 6/7 to work and made it a 72 attack claw, and it gave me 4k-6k range at level 86 lol

Cygnus Knights couldn't hit that high until POST big bang.

Forgot my bucc's range but I definitely know it was over 6k.
Was hitting 30 - 40k lines demo.

Hitting 5k at level 50 was pretty godly. You should have seen funded DBs in Monster Carnival. Just destroyed everything in the map.

if you had over 10k you were godly. i used to hit 12ks per line with dragon crusher on my 114 dragon knight. people were very impressed

I think my sin had a 3-5k? range at levels 55-60

there was no godly range. just having a 10 att work glove and zhelm was considered godly

level 70s and 80s standard should've been 3k per line.

@deviander: Well I'm thinking Hermit in 2007. My friend who was always one step ahead of me in funding would hit that much with L7. 2005-2006 though I was playing MapleSEA so I don't know the "godly" standard for those years lol. My hermit only hit 10k crits pre-4th job.

Back then you were considered funded once you hit more than 20k per line. Once we got 4th job at the beginning of 2008, that number went up to about 30-40k per line. 4th Job mages for a while were the only ones that hit the 99k cap with their ultimate spams. If you wanted to train you had to find a map that wasn't being massacred by a mage (they solo'd the map while 1 person leeched for mesos). Mages had a horrible reputation of being ksers in those days. We had a party of 3 at newts and a bishop came in and started spamming genesis saying he was leeching a friend...

I had a 3k Range on my as a level 7x hermit and I always felt pretty strong for being reg dex. Probably because of my godly 61 attack scarab

Most of the arch magesbishops could hit that easily with out ultimates. Ultimates back then were spammable, no cooldown at all. I hit 99k easily.

I had somewhere around a 6.5k range; I remember the swoonings from my irl friends over my incredible damage on spammable genesis ;3

I'm like 99% sure an onyx apple gave you more than 4k range :l

Hitting over 300 on L7 around level 20-30 was good.
Around lvl 50 as a sin (max Claw mastery) you would be hitting around 1.2ks.
I remember I was told I had good damage for hitting 3k /3k on a lvl 70 Hermit. (L7)

That 1~1 range on mages back then cause it didn't show the M.atk range

OT i remember i was very happy when i saw 15k damage

I used a gelt chocolate at level 36 and was doing 5-6k per star with lucky seven
2-3k without the gelt

Fully self buffed at level 164 on my Dark Knight I had a 10.9k range, and I was one of the strongest Dark Knights around, on an Onyx Apple I hit ~14k range.
My super funded Buccaneer hit 5.6k range clean at level 131, and my super funded Marksman hit around 6k range at level 125.

The real good old times, the damage cap was 99999, not 199999. (As the TS asked for, in 2006-2008 that was the cap.)

Like 3k for around a level 50 (or so) iirc, but the people then never really got to that high of levels which is why a lot of their "godly" ranges are so low; they're relative to their levels.
