Some Nl ideas

So since we haven't officially had a mlc thread yet, maybe we can put together some ideas before our thread for mlc is released.
what i want out of NL is mobility, I hate it when there are few platforms to jump on and it has to be taken one at a time while and up jump could easily do it.
and if we dont get an up jump maybe a skill like kaiser's grapple but instead its the throwing start that we have equipped that is thrown up.
and maybe a backstep since fatality does a decent job.
I think damage wise we are fine, since our hyper is getting buffed.

Only thing I want is for shadow web to bind. its a relatively useless skill and wouldn't be a ridiculously over powered boost.

Holy smokes.
Almost nothing on that list is feasible except if you meant for Shadow Partner's ability as in it's damage is 100% instead of 70%, and possibly the reworking of Shadow Web to be a long-term bind instead of one-attack-and-it's-gone.

Our mobbing (showdown) animation is fairly star-related. At least more so than the rip-off of Band of Thieves was pre-Red.
FJ's animation is fine as it is. Hardly noticeable in the instant it flashes on-screen anyways.
Avenger is dead. Get over it, people.
Penta Star... six hits times two with shadow partner is pretty outrageous.
Steal buffs is literally Phantom and having TWO shadow partners would be broken.

Damage Reflect Ignore is in effect with Mark of the Night Lord if the boss has mobs you can attack on the side, the stars will hit without triggering DR.

Either more mobility or more dodge, those were the main selling points of a NL before every class basically became the same (ie: everyone now has FJ). Also, if they nerf the exp/drop from showdown they should make it hit a more standard 8 mobs (10 with hyper) as it will be almost essentially only a mobbing skill at that point

If not better mobility such as a vertical jump, higher max speed/jump, or further FJ distance, then Shadow Web needs to become a skill that places a sticky web on the ground where you stand and provides stance to you and any party member within range. Or utilize Dark Harmony to a similar effect. I like Shadow Web more personally because it's so damn useless right now.

Backstep is unnecessary. Binds are unnecessary unless they want to actually make Shadow Web useful in that sense.

I believe a future patch in KMS remade the Quad-Star animation to flow much better so looking forward to that.

The biggest gripe is the time it takes to buff, though. Having to utilize three pet auto-buffs to avoid a 9-second stand-still is ridiculous. I don't recall clearly off hand, but I don't believe the rebalancing patch gave much attention to the buff-times for NLs.

And please, for the love of god, just give us back Drain. Or at least make Vampire easier to obtain. It's such a hassle.

i would definitely like to see a better double flash jump. i really like how angelic busters double fj and xenons fj are like. those get you quite good horizontal distance and it pops you pretty high up as well.

yea backstep would help at bosses like gullox but if we do have one it might be nerfed like nw. the kaiser chain was if we dont get and up jump.

but i agree with needing a new mobbing skill, showdown gets a bit boring sometimes and using shade splitter is ok sometimes, but i prefered the animation for the old shade splittler.
Avenger would be nice but it would have to be better or at least the same as mobbing with showdown or it would be pointless to implement it except for nostalgic reasons.
For me its tuff to think of a mobbing skill because it doesn't seem like anything that can be put in has happened already or is in another class.

No one asked for a bind and revive. The main points here were mobility, like a vertical jump. What a farce that adventurer thieves have no vertical mobility while every other class does. It's really vertical jump that's important, avenger and back step would be nice but not necessary.

Althought i personally agree i would like a vertical jump but i think this class is totally fine as it is and we dont need two classes the same.

I pretty much agree with most points of this thread. I think we need a mobility boost because we're pretty slow/immobile compared to a lot of other classes. This needs to be tweaked because we're thieves and are supposed to be the fastest. I miss the days where people wanted us in their party for Haste and only magicians and thieves had a fj/teleport.
I also agree on the attack, I really think another skill to attack would help our class. Spamming two moves can get so boring.

Pretty satisfied with NL's current state. Couldn't really care for a vertical jump, although a backstep would be cool. LF> Old Quad Star animation

I'm not an NL so don't take this comment seriously, but I think a new bosssing skill animation would be cool. Isn't quad star animation pretty lackluster?

I have an idea... what I'm thinking is of a new attack. One that is like a giant throwing star... and your guy reaches his arm out to summon it to his hand... then tosses it demolishing all the monsters who stand before him... we could call it something cool... like maybe avenger. Just a thought

As an old mapler returning after a while, it personally irritates me that it seemed to a be a trend to copy past skills from a NL to other newer classes. Or maybe it made me feel less special, meh. Also was drain OP or something? I don't get it, why did I have to logg on one day after a patch and no longer have this awesome skill -_-

Yep, we need a new mobility boost... Seems dumb that we were once the most agile class, and now we jus' seemed nerfed compared to everyone.

Def more mobility, we used to be the most mobile with our own FJ but now all classes except most mages and hayato have it, i feel like vertical jump is a cygnus thing but it'd be awesome if we can get it, i also think a backstep would be nice
im not sure how a kaiser chain thing would fit our class but whatevs
Haste is also a problem, Xenon has passive haste and i think its also faster not to mention they have a longer distance FJ than ours
i also wouldnt mind if they added a hyper skill that could let us bind bosses with Spider Web skill because that skill is useless but i suppose there could be a problem having bind and Frailty Curse

I think NL needs a new attack.
Spamming showdown or quad star gets old.
That's always been a knock on Assassins...that although they are fast, mobile, and strong(when funded)....they tend to get boring and repetitive...at least that's my 2 cents
