Most people who are willing to mention their scores are. I don't think that means that basilers are any smarter than average.

OT: 800 Math

I think 1640. Reading was the only section that I scored alright in

I didn't want to take it but my brother pushed me to so i didn't prepare at all.
That being said i probably should have, the cursive paragraph on the back was the hardest for me.
I never learned how to write in cursive.
.. omg someone took like fifteen minutes trying to do that cursive part. we all had to wait, because we couldn't go on without her finishing...
Best score in one sitting was 2260. If you combine only my best ones from each section, then 2330.
Thank you Asian parents for not being satisfied with my first one, and making me take it two more times.....
Ugh but taking the SATs is horrible...
2310 second time, 2140 first time, best combined 2320.

1840 (680 Math, 590 CR, 570 Writing)

Honestly to all the Juniors + Sophomore + Freshman, listen up.
SATs are over-rated.
I had to listen to my mom rant about how important they were for 4+ years: nonstop.
Guess what? I got into all 5 of the colleges I applied to. (OSU, PennState, UMD, UConn, UPitt - all top 50 colleges in the US)

Unless you're aiming for the ivys, you'll need a 2000+ (but if you don't have a 3.8 UW GPA and at least 8 APs by graduation, you might as well forget ivies)

2280 SAT
34 ACT
Currently getting around 32-36 on my MCATs. Aiming for a 40.

@askmiller: Colleges do look at the whole applicant. The SATs is just one of the few quantifiable aspects next to GPA. How hard is it really to study for a few months for a test? People who care about their future sure don't think it's difficult.

Took it 3 times. I got a 1660 the first time without studying during the june sat i believe. Then, i studied a lot over the summer and got 1960 (october), but my math was low (640), so i spent 3 weeks studying ONLY math. I took it again and got 1920, but my math was a 710 Overall, my superscore was a 2030 (620 reading, 710 math, 700 writing).

790 math

710 writing...

Did well on essays but I guess grammar isn't my thing...

Oh well, I'm in college now so it doesn't matter

I got 1400ish on all of my 3 SATs combined lol. I still managed to get accepted into top schools in FL such as UM and UF, though I went to FAU instead to save money o.o

SAT is complete bs to me. Think about it. They test you on stuff you learn in 7th grade then never see again.

I don't believe it's right to compare people's abilities through some stupid test. Colleges should review everything a person does and determine what they're capable of. You shouldn't just look at some stupid SAT score and be like: this guy only got a 1800, he has no future.

to study for the parts of the SAT is practically impossible. You can do it for math, and maybe parts of the reading section, but when it comes to stuff like vocab, unless you're seriously considering reading the dictionary, it's just not going to happen.

One thing you can do is work on your speed. Some of us are slower test takers than others. Apparently that means we're not as smart as the others because they will get much higher scores than us, even though when it comes to actual intellectual ability, we make up for it with our understanding of higher levels of understanding for certain topics.
The SAT only tests critical thinking abilities and (IMO) the effort you are willing to put in for something. I agree with this 100%.

LOL morse code. Your proctors must be pretty retarded to not notice the constant tapping.
Sending a message per question would probably take at least a minute if not more than two.
Yeah, you probably got, what, a 1400? Your friends must have enjoyed their stay at their local JC.

OT: 2270. 800 Math 700 CR 770 Writing. Coulda done so much better but effed on the CR.

@SriLankanKen That's why we used Morse code
Morse code is prbbly the stupidest way to cheat...It's so time consuming that you'd prbbly only have finished half the problems. You might as well have just talked to him about questions during the break and then changing them.

800 math, 710 CR, 700 writing.
Expected the math (Asian), average reading (a bit below since all my practices I got 720~750), and totally shocked by writing (usually get low 600's, high 500's)
