I drive an Acura TL '12. dats it.
@ishottedsnow2: Oh don't worry. My first time in a manual car..... nightmare. I stalled 50 times before I even got the car to move a single foot. It's like tying a shoe. You can never figure out how to do it traditionally unless you watch and get taught how. Once you get the stick shift, you'll never forget. I usually stall once or twice a year these days, normally in slow moving areas or reallllyyy steep hills.
Though, transitioning from one car to a totally different one could prove a slight challenge. All cars feel different. In a stick shift, the clutch and stick have different feels ranging from soft shifting to hard as well as pressure on the clutch can shift earlier on release.
Bit late here, sorry :x But, i'll tell you the story of my first drive, legally (had a few hours illegally). It was pretty funny, there was a guy who was behind me on this long road, he was like 20 feet behind me at all times. I started speeding up, went from second to third, but instead i downshifted to first accidentally. My entire car just like shuddered and yeah you know what it's like. For the rest of the time, the guy behind me stayed at least 90 feet behind me :L. I seem to be on okay terms with my car now. Stalled the first time trying to hill start (on a busy road), I was so nervous :X
http://i44.tinypic.com/2ijotaf.jpg 06 Civic LX. Yes hubcaps are sad lol but gonna get a new car this September. Rolling with no front plates and 15% tints all around yolooooo.
lol i think i've seen this car online before. Go figure
Probably those caps.
Just recently installed fog lights in my car. Wiring the lights through the car was such a pain in 100 degree weather.

List of what I've done so far:
Sti Lip
Fog Lights
18% Tint all around
Plastdip rims/emblems
Interior LED
@lettucing: That's really surprising, considering how most new non-hybrid sedans are generally still in the high 30s in terms of mpg. I'm not doubting you, I'm just wondering how on earth you're doing it
tiny engine (1.0L 3 cylinder) combined with a tiny "unsafe" car lol. it's so basic there's no air conditioning or power steering, don't need it! i heard mitsubishi is coming out with a 3 cylinder car in the US for 2014, and apparently a ford fiesta version is too. pretty excited, even though i can't afford one now!
these cars are going to nickel & dime me to death!

I was given a 2013 Jetta, so that.

'07 Camry, automatic
@ImaClubYou: I think i actually should of gotten an old shoddy manual instead of a new one. Just cause it's new and it's a manual i'm pretty scared of screwing up.
Car's at home, I'm at school, so here's a pic of one i found off the net. Not a very good first car, tbh. Especially since it's a manual.
I think manual is a good first car actually. I started off like that and I can drive any car no sweat. Though... sometimes I fear that I might try to shift a automatic car sometimes and my left foot tends to float in midair, lmao.

@Ecliptic:
promenade mall?
My two primary modes of transportation are walking or getting driven by my boyfriend. He drives a 2013 BMW X3.
@Zoneflare4: He said it really depends on the state of the car... o.o his is practically new I guess and he seems to know the guy so he only paid 200$ but i guess it can be much much much much more... he even thinks about getting a 2nd car now since his is paid off.... <-<" I'm sure he'd get that detailed for 200$ too lol
2003 Audi A6. Hoping to modify it eventually..
@xFatalDagger: The struggle man. So much rewarding though when you know you did it with your hands and your own money
@ImaClubYou: went crazy with the plasti dip lol. mirin everything but the decal stickers.
@natalie: I feel you. I was completely ignorant about it as well but luckily there are so many resourceful forums and guides that it makes everyone an engineer.
Coilovers, side skirts, fog lights, and hid kit
Hopefully future mods. Anyone else got any suggestions?
@Nashi: i never asked how they range their prices so youd have to ask rob

@Zoneflare4: o.O my if 200$ was the tip alone... don't even wanna know how getting it detailed cost in the first place lol

@Nashi: yeah car detailers use lots of them and dont really use gloves so that they can do an even better job often ruining their hands for that killer tip. My neighbor got to detail an NFL players car before he said and got a $200 tip.

@Zoneflare4: o-o... chemicals? yuck T.T...
@Nashi: well it should last longer with all the chemicals used, i use to live next to someone who detailed cars. Ill be home on Friday so ill do it then
