Happy birthday my fellow combo kings. I long to relive anything similar to those days.

Been a year since people exploited them for 50% att scrolls.

Ah how I miss this gameplay.. way to go nexon ruined a class I loved so much..

I had my first Aran a few days after they came out, a very fun class. I had remake mines due to the deletion incident years ago. I rarely see people play Aran nowadays, I'm glad people still enjoy the class.

Had mine since day 1. Had that combo king medal and everything. It was the first class i ever took past 4th job, lvl 120. Playing that class was one my most fun maple story memories... grinding at skeles for hours... hp washing it so I had enough hp to tank big foot and sell bf leech to make money... good times. I loved the wolf mount most of all... Deleted it the other day tho, needed room for link mules.

He served me well but I no longer had need for him. I demanded his head and his sacrifice made my new main stronger. I have no regrets.

Damn, that long? I remember when I made my Aran the first day they were released..good memories. I decided to check out this website again after about a year or two. What's new for Aran's? Or maple in general lol.

I remember playing Aran when it came out and I remember getting all those medals; sadly when Aran was remade I goofed up in giving the stats and.......I had to delete him along with all my medals :'(

Heh, 5 year anniversary. That's pretty old!

I'd say the patches have been pretty great throughout the lifespan. The only nerfs I can recall are the 12 mobs -> 8 mobs change, and Tempest spam limit.
Wouldn't mind getting some new tools ^^

Well then if for some reason they ask me this, I'll show them a video of me playing my Aran the first week it came out.

@tailz2k6: I don't think you get it. I'm saying that when ur on ur Aran (if u were one of the unlucky ones not to obtain the combo medals) even if u anvil people will know ur not one of the originals (1st Arans)

Well duh, but they should assume that I have an Aran somewhere in the account, you can't normally walk around wearing an Aran the Hero or Combo King Medal on say.. my Level 120 Night Walker like I do unless you anvil.

Didn't get Combo King medal, ragequit aran. Never tried the class again. Don't laugh, the struggle was real. Didn't even know how simple it was back then

I joined MS a bit before the arans came, was a spearman, Got on that aran, felt so good, the combos, the boost on the ground before everyone else has Flash Jump,years after it became my first character to reach 200, i was cheered on and was saluted by alot of other arans,yeah it actualy happened but i never got to screen cap it. ;w;
Now i think back to it, Aran was a balanced good class, now we just spam FB+BB over and over after we put up our Combo Boost and then Unlimited Combo.
There a few idols that inspired me to get to 200-
@Feeling
@ImEvol
and a little bit of FangBlade.
Should i stay maining my aran or use a Zero since its weapon is it end-game one and can be easily scrolled then star enhanced.
But for all the Arans, hell most of the other warrior classes, Merry Christmas to you all!

Arans were first hyped as "Dk's on steroids".
I was a Dk. I wanted steroids.
Now its the other way around >

I've used anvils on it to ensure that I have a transferrable one at all times.

Now I have an urge to make an Aran. Hmm...

@Genostigma: I had those things in mind when I was deleting him. But then I got over it. My thirst for power was more important. I finally made a mech for the card skill and now I have enough buff duration for permanent final cut.

I have no regrets.

Yikes! @ deleting that well accomplished Aran with those combo medals! Those medals are the only difference between the 1st Arans and the bandwagoners. I still have mine also with those juicy medals. Some Arans envy those medals (cuz they know we were the 1st ones), but yeah, I think I'll keep mine.

Today's iteration of Aran's are probably my least favorite in the five years I've played them, with my favorite being pre-combo tempest nerf, followed by 1st day iteration for the fun challenge playstyle and very rewarding feeling of using tempest once you finally made it to 200 combos.

Well, thats a blow in the nostalgia feels.
