The hardest question of your life

Would you put yourself in solidarity confinement for one year in order to save the lives of everyone on basil market (every single person who has ever visited basil market)?

If you do decide to put yourself in solidarity confinement you would have to stay in a locked cell with 3 square meals a day, a small bed, a small bathroom, and a new set of clothes per week. No contact with other humans for one year. You cannot commit suicide and you must eat all the 3 meals per day or else the contract is broken and everyone automatically dies. After the one year you will come back to your life like it was before you left although your mental state may or may not be severely damaged to the point it cannot be repaired. They say loneliness is enough to kill someone, but do you believe is it true?

If you decide not to then everyone who has ever visited Basilmarket (you are an exception) will die of a heart attack in the next year (including Mr. Basil). You won't be responsible for their deaths but you have to live for the rest of your life knowing you could of saved them.

Well, if were looking at the lives of many, MANY, people dying possibly, and only one person going to jail, being able to live, then what would I do?
The world has to become a better place. If I can save the lives of so many, and still live, then hell, I'll do it.

It's solitary confinement
And I'd do it just for fun, but to save other basilers? Woah, now. I don't want you getting the wrong idea. No way I'm going into solitary confinement for a year to save basilers.

Definitely. I would give my life up to save others even if they were complete strangers. Offering a year to save countless people is nothing in comparison. I'm trying to make the world around me a better place, and I'm not accomplishing that by allowing numerous people die and their friends and families suffer a loss because I'm being a selfish asshole. Yeah, F that.
Take my year.

For strangers? Nope. Even if I did do it the only thing you get in return is just a simple "Thanks" that's all so definitely not worth.
Would they do it for me?Hmmm Nope. Just look how many people voted against out of all the total people voted.

Yes I would do it. I wish I could have came to the conclusion sooner. I Want it to be an impulse, if it's gonna be my life or someone else's I will always choose the others.

Jesus, I would totally do it, even without the whole killing everyone on Basilmarket thing. Survive for a year, no expenses paid, three meals a day? Plus a bed? And a private bathroom? That's even better than how I'm living now.

I don't know you people, and if someone told me this would happen if I didn't go into solitary confinement, I wouldn't believe them. So when you all die I wouldn't feel guilty either.
If I live in solitary confinement, do I at least have a way to occupy time, such as movies or video games (so long as they are offline)? If so, I would probably attempt it... knowing people who have visited this site personally.
If you had something to occupy your time like a computer it would completely defeat the purpose of solidarity confinement. So no, you won't have anything except for your mind.

In solitary confinement your only friend is the darkness.

I would not sacrifice my state for strangers. As far as I am concerned the ppl of basil don't even exist.

i agree with you but i wanted to ask, for situations like these and other examples like if you had to choose you or ____ would your answer change if it was regarding your family? or would you still pick yourself
i.e save yourself or save your family/friends

just curious

OT: this is the easiest question of my life, i don't care about basilers
