And really the only "basil clique" I've seen is the one of people who were "here since the beginning."
I feel like they sometimes post "Omg! Remember all these cool basilers?" that no one else will remember, and they quote each other and say, "yeah, those were the days, back in (I don't know, 2006 or 2007?). Do you remember this guy too? Yeah, he was so cool!" And they nominate old basilers who never post anymore for basil awards... that's the only "basil clique" I've seen and most of them aren't well-known at all.
