Sometimes it depends on the speaker. They can have a heavy accent or sound really unnecessarily loud. While others speak it like they're singing a song.

Vietnamese is by far the most unnattractive language. I aplogize to my awesome Viet friends if they get offended by that.
German is a funny language, so I don't really find that language to be very ugly.

Agreeing with the South East Asian languages.
I don't find German ugly but it always seems like the speaker is quite aggressive.
I find some Spanish ugly but that's more because of the accent, not so much the language.
They sound like they're talking through their nose and talking sharp through their mouth?

OT: I think Korean is pretty... disgusting imo. </3
Korean mostly depends on the speaker.

Chinese have many dialects, and they can sound very different according to where an individual is from. So it's not really one language. It also depends on the person that speaks it.

Languages like Thai (or perhaps Vietnamese) sounds the same to me no matter who speaks it. I assume if someone speaks it very differently then they're probably pronouncing it wrong or have a very strong accent.

(Most restrictive pronunciations <-> Least restrictive)
Vietnamese/Cantonese>Mandarin>Korean>Japanese

i personally dont mind langauges. its the accents that get me (the heavy accent that makes it hard to understand what they are saying), the talking speed of a person, or both things that i mentioned.

Vietnamese is brutal... Especially since most Vietnamese people I know are extremely loud and talk very fast.

I think chineses is scary. Whenever I'm in the library and group of chinese kids suddenly start to talk, it scares me and hurt my ears. The "kh" sound is so heavy

German.

I only needed one summer near the beach as a cashier to figure out how much I hate German.

any romance language.

romance languages only sound sexy and halfway decent if your voice is exotic. and lol @ the person a few pages back bashing german. just because a word is long doesn't mean you have to scream it like a crazy person.
I expected more people to hate on German. I've been told it sounds aggressive/angry but it doesn't at all to me xD (duh)

personally I don't like English much, it sounds so dull. makes my ears itch when it's extra heavy.
don't really pay attention to languages... not confronted with other languages so there's nothing I particularly dislike.
German sounds amazing ^^. i might try and learn it someday =p

Dongbei accent sounds pretty ghetto. But it sounds like home. Good ol home.

Example (She's obviously not a native speaker since she's Japanese. But she's pretty badass. Better than my accent, since I've been in Canada for over eight years. I talk Chinese like a white man now. It's sad, actually. Same thing with my dad. People can't tell which part of China we're from anymore.): .
(That white guy sucks btw.)

Second I'd say Thai. Not because it sounds "ugly". But because it sounds totally weird. At first when I heard it I don't even know how to feel about the language. It just sounds like Thailand. Like srsly. Even a greeting can determine one's gender. Like wow.

I don't find French an "ugly" language, but I've experienced trauma with this language. I almost failed mandatory French back in grade 9. Absolutely hated it.

So according to this thread, Vietnamese is the most ugly language? I've rarely heard anyone speaking it tho. But it sounds hella funny.

hmm I really can't think of a language I find ugly.. just depends on the individual's voice, I suppose. That can make anything sound ugly
